- Andorra ski resorts report 3m snow depths, nearly 100% piste access across Grandvalira, Pal Arinsal, Ordino Arcalís
- 15% surge in Easter bookings vs last year, driven by snow and early holiday
- Events include Mamba Race on April 4 and Dollo Day freestyle; resorts close mid-April
- 66,000 vehicles expected with traffic measures for peak April 2-3 influx
Andorra's ski resorts are set for a strong Easter period, with exceptional snow depths exceeding three metres at high elevations, nearly full piste availability, and a moderate uptick in tourism activity.
Grandvalira Resorts reports that winter snowfall has kept almost 100% of its runs open, contributing to around 300 kilometres of skiable terrain across Grandvalira, Pal Arinsal, and Ordino Arcalís. Pal Arinsal and Ordino Arcalís have all pistes operational, while Grandvalira provides more than 200 kilometres in prime condition. Sunny forecasts and deep snow are drawing crowds for après-ski, live music, and diverse activities including freeride, snowshoeing, mushing, family zones, and upscale dining.
Tourism data points to a 15% rise in bookings compared to last year, according to online travel platform Destinia, boosted by abundant snow and Easter falling earlier than in 2025. Hoteliers remain cautious but note positive trends: March outperformed the prior year, with Hesperia Andorra at 50% occupancy and expectations of last-minute surges. Agency Ski Serveis confirms reservations through 2 April, mainly from advance-planning foreign clients like British visitors. Albert Mora of the Andorran Hotel Association described reservations as "going well," while Josep Maria Serra of Hesperia called the first quarter "positive" relative to last season's snow shortages. Jordi Orozco of Ski Serveis highlighted rising accommodation and lift prices, putting a week's stay at about €1,500 per person excluding transport—comparable to Alps packages with travel included.
Grandvalira and Pal Arinsal plan to close on 6 April, with Ordino Arcalís extending to 12 April. Highlights on 4 April include the Mamba Race by Joan Verdú on the 2km Àliga piste, blending competition, obstacles, and a community party, plus Dollo Day by Henrik Harlaut at Sunset Park Peretol for open freestyle sessions.
The government will implement special traffic measures for an estimated 66,000 vehicles, mostly from Spain, with peak influx on 2 and 3 April—levels matching last year.
