Andorran driver Joan Vinyes marked his debut in the Toyota GR Cup Spain with a podium finish at the Jarama circuit near Madrid. Competing in the season's opening weekend, which featured two races, Vinyes secured pole position for the first event and crossed the line in second place.
In the second race, he again claimed pole but was forced to retire after a rival made contact with the rear of his car.
Vinyes's son, Joan Vinyes Rodríguez, also took part in the event. He finished ninth in the opening race and improved to sixth in the second.
