Andorran Paralympic skier Roger Puig has wrapped up his Milan-Cortina campaign, finishing 15th in the LW9-2 giant slalom on Friday after overcoming disruptions in the first run.

Puig, starting with bib 41 in 22nd position, encountered issues during his initial descent when the skier ahead fell, stopping the race midway. He had to repeat the run after a chairlift failure forced him to return to the start on a quad, causing added fatigue and distraction amid worsening snow conditions. His first-run time of 1:12.25 or 1:12.26 left him provisionally 16th, 8.18 seconds behind French leader Arthur Bauchet's 1:04.07, with losses of about two seconds per sector.

Puig adjusted his line and pushed harder in the second run, posting his fastest time of the day at 1:11.50 for a combined 2:23.75—15.99 seconds off the winning pace and good enough for 15th overall.

Bauchet took gold in 2:07.76, with Switzerland's Robin Cuche earning silver in 2:09.72 and Russia's Alexey Bugaev claiming bronze in 2:11.14.

Though focused on speed events—where he earned a Paralympic diploma with fifth in downhill, 11th in super-G, and a DNF in alpine combined due to a super-G error—the giant slalom was his penultimate race. Puig competed in all five disciplines before closing with slalom on Sunday.
