BC MoraBanc Andorra is considering Canadian guard Kassius Robertson to bolster its backcourt following Xavier Castañeda's injury, which will sideline him for the next 12 weeks.
The 31-year-old, standing 1.91 metres tall, currently plays for Lokomotiv Kuban in Russia's VTB League but is poised to depart, according to agent Artem Komarov. Andorra ranks among his options, alongside interest from several ACB rivals including Dreamland Gran Canaria, Casademont Zaragoza, and La Laguna Tenerife. Competition is stiff, compounded by Robertson's high salary demands.
Coach Francesc Solana must work to attract the Ontario native, who holds dual Canadian-Jamaican nationality and thus does not occupy a non-EU slot. Robertson's VTB season has been underwhelming, with averages of 8.3 points, 2.7 assists, and an 8.3 efficiency rating.
His European journey started in Italy at Fortitudo Bologna, where he averaged 14.1 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 1.6 assists. He later joined Spain's ACB league for two stints with Monbus Obradoiro, a season at Valencia Basket—where he overlapped with Shannon Evans II—and his strongest campaign at Joventut Badalona. There, he debuted against UCAM Murcia with 25 points and a 28 efficiency rating.
The club continues preparations for its key home match against Río Breogán tomorrow at 7 p.m. in Pavelló Toni Martí.
