FC Andorra has unveiled its two winter transfer signings, defender Edgar González and midfielder Yeray Cabanzón, both arriving on loan until the end of the season.

The presentations took place in front of the church tower in Encamp, ahead of the team now coached by Carles Manso. González, 28, joins from Almería—where he is contracted until 2028—after a loan spell at Hajduk Split in Croatia. The player from Sallent, son of former Espanyol and Lleida striker Lluís González, will not be available for Sunday's match against Mirandés due to adductor discomfort. He began light training with the squad this week and expects to be fit by next week, potentially for the home game against Huesca.

Cabanzón, 22, from Racing de Santander—the leaders of Liga Hypermotion—wasted no time, debuting on Wednesday in the Copa Catalunya against CE Europa. He scored once and impressed in roles as winger and midfielder. He is in line to feature on Sunday at Miranda de Ebro.

Both players cited the club's playing style as a key factor in their decisions. González, experienced at Real Betis and Almería, described it as possession-based and protagonist, matching his background from youth academies onward. "It's one of the main reasons I chose to come here," he said, adding that he feels comfortable as a centre-back or pivot in midfield.

Cabanzón highlighted the long-standing interest from FC Andorra, including attempts last summer after their promotion to Segunda División. "The club's interest and trust made me accept," he explained, praising the style as ideal for him. He expressed willingness to play wherever head coach assigns, having adapted seamlessly in both interior and wide positions.

The versatile duo—González at 1.92m and Cabanzón at 1.70m—bolster a squad fighting to stay in the Spanish second tier.
