MoraBanc Andorra has signed American guard Sir'Jabari Rice on a contract until the end of the season, bolstering the team's perimeter play ahead of a crucial stretch in the Liga Endesa.

The 27-year-old from Houston, standing 1.91m tall, joins from Czech side ERA Nymburk, where he competed in the domestic NBL and Basketball Champions League. In the European competition, Rice ranked seventh in scoring with an average of 18.6 points per game across 11 outings, adding 3.5 rebounds and 3.1 assists while shooting 42% from three-point range. His NBL numbers included 14.8 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 4.2 assists in 23 games.

Rice brings NBA G-League experience with Austin Spurs, Sioux Falls Skyforce (2024), and South Bay Lakers (2025), plus a stint with Metros de Santiago in the Dominican Republic that year. College stints at New Mexico State and Texas followed by an undrafted 2023 NBA entry shaped his path. This marks his Liga Endesa debut and first sustained European run.

General manager Francesc Solana praised Rice's scoring ease, explosive first step, playmaking off screens, and perimeter threat. "He's a player with strong scoring ability who will help generate offense from various situations," Solana said, adding hopes for a quick adaptation to provide the needed boost.

At his unveiling, Rice, wearing number 10, described himself as a "winner" ready for immediate impact in scoring, play-reading, and defence. Coach Žan Tabak emphasized improving his defensive mindset for the demanding league, which Rice views as one of Europe's best. He can also handle point guard duties despite it not being his natural position and cited talks with teammate Morris Udeze—met at New Mexico—as a key factor in his decision.

The signing covers for injured Xavier Castañeda, out another three weeks; once he returns, roster adjustments will see at least one player depart, with Udeze among possibilities. Shannon Evans is doubtful with a calf issue, while Rafa Luz and Aaron Best's status post-FIBA duties remains unclear.

Rice has already trained with the squad and could debut Saturday at 8pm against Casademont Zaragoza, coached by Joan Plaza, at Pavelló Toni Martí—a key match for Andorra's survival push. Club officials left the door open for a longer stay if he excels.
