**Andorran Olympic Canoeist Mònica Doria Advances Preseason with Water-Focused Training on Réunion Island**

Andorran Olympic canoeist Mònica Doria is continuing her preseason preparations on Réunion Island, a French territory in the Indian Ocean, where she is intensifying specific water-based work.

After completing an initial high-intensity block in Dubai that allowed for substantial on-water hours, Doria moved to the island to maintain her momentum during this key Olympic year. Her technical team has expressed satisfaction with her performance so far. Doria highlighted the value of the Dubai phase, noting that accumulating extensive time in the canoe adds significantly to her readiness. "The more days we can add in good conditions, the better, because it lets us build up our training load," she said.

She also mentioned recent sessions in Andorra, but pointed out that local weather constraints make these overseas camps essential for optimal preparation. The Andorran Canoe and Kayak Federation (FACC) has confirmed her current stay on Réunion.

Meanwhile, younger FACC athletes Ona Perelgre and Nil Checa have started their preseason with sessions at the Seu d'Urgell canal in Spain, as part of the federation's base development efforts.
