- Club Rítmica Serradells hosted a packed charity event featuring local performers and Olympic gymnast Polina Berezina, surpassing fundraising goals for vulnerable youth support.
The Club Rítmica Serradells held a charity gala at the Serradells pavilion this morning, drawing a full house and raising nearly €2,200 for the Associació Jovent en Risc d’Andorra (ADJRA), which supports vulnerable youth.
Organized by the club, the event featured performances from multiple local rhythmic gymnastics teams and dance groups, including GAEE, Golden ISARDS, Lauesport, Rítmica Encamp, Souldance, Valeoro, and TC Escola de Dansa. The latter contributed hip-hop, Bollywood, and contemporary dance routines. Individual gymnasts such as Eva Travé, Berta Burgos, Júlia Felipó, Berta Miquel, Clara Galceran, Alicia Pereira, Àfrica Bautista, Aina Díaz, Laia Cabanillas, Nahia Ascarza, Carmela Tonino, Noa Lepoix, Carla Felipó, Carolina Da Sousa, Valentina Hasse, and Blanca Benaiges also took part. The programme ended with a group finale and the presentation of the donation cheque.
A highlight was the exhibition by Spanish Olympic gymnast Polina Berezina, who performed a freehands routine that earned strong applause. She described the audience's warmth as inspiring and noted her affection for Andorra, where she often skied as a child. Berezina agreed to participate without hesitation when invited by the club.
Club coordinator Mar Blasi said the gala aimed to extend the sport's educational role beyond competition, linking gymnastics' values to social causes like those of ADJRA. Tickets cost €4, and attendance exceeded expectations, surpassing last year's total and outgrowing the venue.
Berezina emphasised mental health during the event, calling it more vital than physical fitness and urging young athletes to seek professional help under pressure. She advised patience, sacrifice, and persistence in pursuing dreams, both in sport and life. The club highlighted how gymnastics fosters discipline, self-esteem, and belonging—qualities that benefit youth off the mat.
Attendees included ministers Bonell and Mas, along with leaders from ADJRA, Club Rítmica Serradells, and GAEE. This afternoon, Berezina will lead a masterclass for local gymnasts.
