Roger Puig is carrying out a high‑performance training camp at the Kaunertal glacier in Austria, undertaking an intensive week of preparation that covers both technical and speed disciplines.
During the stay he is combining giant slalom and slalom sessions with speed work to sharpen form in optimal glacier conditions. The camp is intended to have him ready for his opening races on 8 December, when he is scheduled to contest two FIS super‑G events. Those races will be followed by a World Cup supercombined and later two super‑G races at Steinach am Brenner.
This season Puig is competing without support from the Andorran Ski Federation (FAE) and has returned to training independently. The Kaunertal block is the first competitive test of the year and is expected to set the tempo for his early season progression.
