A 74-year-old German motorcyclist has died following a single-vehicle crash on the N-260 road at kilometre 253 in the municipality of Montferrer i Castellbò, Alt Urgell.
Police received the alert at 12.08pm shortly after the incident occurred just past noon. The motorcycle left the road for reasons under investigation by traffic specialists from the Mossos d'Esquadra.
Emergency services responded promptly, deploying two Mossos patrols, two fire crews from the Generalitat, a ground unit from the Medical Emergency System (SEM), and the SEM's medicalised helicopter.
