LGBTIQ+ March Causes Central Andorra la Vella Road Closures Saturday

Central Andorra la Vella faces traffic disruptions Saturday evening from an LGBTIQ+ march, with temporary closures on Avinguda Meritxell and diversions for vehicles and bus L1 to ensure safety.

Key Points

  • Avinguda Meritxell closed from Plaça de la Rotonda, 6-7pm for march.
  • Southbound traffic rerouted to Prat de la Creu roundabout.
  • Northbound vehicles follow behind the march.
  • Bus L1 detoured via Prat de la Creu and Baixada del Molí from 5:45-7pm.

Traffic disruptions are expected in central Andorra la Vella on Saturday due to an LGBTIQ+ march. Temporary road closures will affect Avinguda Meritxell up to Plaça de la Rotonda between 6pm and 7pm, allowing participants to pass through safely.

The Mobility department has detailed the diversions: southbound vehicles will reroute from the roundabout towards Prat de la Creu, while northbound traffic will proceed behind the march. Public bus line L1 will switch to an alternative path via Prat de la Creu and Baixada del Molí from 5.45pm to 7pm, as closures also impact Avinguda Príncep Benlloch.

Officials urge drivers and public transport users to anticipate the changes, plan routes in advance, and follow temporary signage to minimise delays. The restrictions will remain confined to the city centre for this one-hour period.
