Andorra recorded 533 traffic accidents involving material damage or injuries in 2025, marking the lowest accident rate over the past five years.
Police data processed by the statistics department show the index at 37.3 accidents per 100,000 inhabitants last year. This figure closely matches 2024's rate of 37.7.
The highest rate in the period came in 2021, at 47.8 per 100,000 inhabitants, with 496 accidents—a rise of 18.4% from the previous year. In 2022, the index fell to 45.6 amid 536 accidents, up 8.1% year-on-year. The 2023 figure stood at 43, with 438 accidents, down 18.3%. Last year saw 456 accidents, a 4.1% increase from 2023 and yielding the 37.7 index.
The 2025 total represented a 16.9% increase from 2024, including one fatal incident. July and August accounted for the most accidents, at 10.5% and 10.1% of the yearly total, respectively.
Andorra la Vella saw 31% of all incidents. Collisions caused 10.7% of cases, followed by pedestrian strikes at 8.6% and vehicles leaving the road at 8.3%. Other factors explained 67.9% of accidents.
