A 26-year-old man was detained early Friday after losing control of his car on the CG-1 while traveling downhill from Andorra la Vella toward Santa Coloma. The vehicle veered off the right side of the road, crossed a landscaped area, and struck a car park barrier with its rear end. The crash caused only material damage, with no injuries or other vehicles affected. A breath test showed a reading of 2.29 g/l.
Officers stopped a 27-year-old woman early Wednesday after spotting her speeding, swerving between lanes, and ignoring a red light. Her test result measured 2.12 g/l.
The other four arrests involved men aged 33 to 36, who recorded levels between 1.06 g/l and 1.84 g/l.
In a related case at Pas de la Casa, authorities took into custody a 23-year-old non-resident man for allegedly violating a public order by failing to comply with an expulsion order.
