Key Points

  • Agreement published 23 Dec 2025 in BOPA, signed by key officials.
  • €10,000 budget fully for developing single taxi booking platform (CRT).
  • Four-year term with extension options, compliant with transport laws.
  • Leaders hail it as modernization step improving public service.

The Andorran government has approved a collaboration agreement with taxi associations to launch a unified booking centre for the sector.

The edict appeared on Wednesday in the *Butlletí Oficial del Principat d'Andorra* (BOPA), dated 23 December 2025. Signed by the head of government, the Secretary of State for Energy Transition, Transport and Mobility, and the beneficiary groups, the deal involves the Associació de Taxistes d’Andorra (ATA) and Associació de Taxistes Interurbans (ATI). It funds the development and rollout of a central de reserves del sector del taxi (CRT)—a single platform to handle all taxi bookings.

The agreement carries a maximum budget of €10,000, allocated entirely to building and implementing the technological platform. It runs for four years, with options to extend, and aligns with current road transport laws and the 2025 budget. Parties can challenge the resolution through an administrative appeal to the government within one month, though filing does not halt implementation.

The initiative builds on an announcement from last November, when the ATA and ATI aligned efforts with government backing to create one system for managing vehicle demands. Secretary of State David Forné described the centre as a step toward modernising the industry. Armand Godoy, president of the ATI, welcomed it as delivering long-sought improvements, adding that technology would enhance service for the public.
