Andorra la Vella has begun its third Setmana de la Bicicleta with inclusive solidarity rides under the 'En bici sense edat' project, targeting elderly residents or those with reduced mobility who rode adapted tricycles on group outings.
The event started on Saturday alongside the 'Tuneja la teva bici' workshop, where children decorated their bikes and scooters using handmade stickers. Organised by the Andorra la Vella city council and the Agència Nacional d'Andorra (ANA), the programme features about 20 free activities for all ages to encourage sustainable mobility and everyday cycling.
Activities resume on Sunday with a science and sport talk, a social ride over La Comella and Engolasters passes, a performance by musician Pep Poblet, guided tours of the temporary 'Un negoci sobre rodes' exhibition, and family bike events.
The week includes further options such as a magnet-making workshop, an indoor cycling masterclass, a session preparing healthy energy bars, and a cultural bike tour of the capital's heritage sites. The initiative runs until June 7, blending sport, culture, health, and environmental goals to promote active transport. All events remain open to the public at no cost.
