Andorra Bus Unió Service Carries 10,903 Passengers in First Three Months

The Bus Unió inter-parish bus service between Andorra la Vella and Escaldes-Engordany has carried 10,903 passengers in its first three months, from 29 September to 31 December 2025, according to figures released by the Escaldes-Engordany commune.

Operating on weekdays with 21 daily departures, the line averaged 165 users per day and eight per trip. Monthly breakdowns show 3,091 passengers in October, a peak of 3,866 in November, and 3,837 in December—exceeding 3,000 riders each month.

The busiest origin stops included the Andorra la Vella commune hall, Consell d’Europa and La Sardana in Andorra la Vella, plus the Escaldes-Engordany commune hall and La Grau in Escaldes-Engordany. Top destinations were La Grau, Plaça Guillemó, the Escaldes-Engordany commune hall, Creu Blanca, and the Andorra la Vella commune hall. When combining pick-ups and drop-offs, the leading sites were the Andorra la Vella commune hall, Consell d’Europa, La Grau, the Escaldes-Engordany commune hall, and Creu Blanca.

Both communes have praised the service for its balanced usage across the two parishes and strong reception from the outset. They highlighted the route and frequencies as well-suited to daily needs tied to work, studies, and life in the central valley. Officials anticipate steady or rising demand, aiming to expand access for more residents.
