Snow that fell overnight at Pas de la Casa—leaving up to six centimetres on the Solana—has prompted Andorra’s Mobility service to declare a yellow phase for the area around the Envalira bridge and the access road to Arcalís. Vehicles are required to travel with special equipment on the General 2 from Envalira and on the General 3 access to Arcalís.
The Andorran meteorological service says the snowfall is gradually easing and that clearings are opening from south to north, although the border peaks with France may remain covered for the rest of the day.
Mobility also warns that trucks weighing more than 19 tonnes will not be allowed to enter France via the Col de Puymorens because of the yellow alert. The service advises drivers to use special equipment, keep speeds below 60 km/h, and notes that motorcycles, mopeds and special mobility vehicles are not permitted to circulate in the affected area.
