Andorra ITV Vehicle Inspection Fees Rise 2.7% for 2026

Vehicle technical inspections (ITV) in Andorra have increased by 2.7% for 2026, with the new rates taking effect today after publication in the Butlletí Oficial del Principat d'Andorra (BOPA) on Wednesday. The adjustment follows the consumer price index (IPC) under the service management contract and covers all inspection types, including periodic checks on time or late, voluntary tests, and those required by administrative orders.

Standard vehicles in categories L, O1, O2, and M1—excluding driving school vehicles, taxis, rentals with or without drivers, ambulances, and medical assistance units—now charge €26.25 for first and second on-time periodic inspections, up from €25.55. This rate also applies to duplicate transport cards issued due to loss, damage, or data changes, as well as ITV scale use, sonometry tests, or emissions checks. Late first or second inspections cost €49.10, previously €47.80, while third or subsequent checks are €62.20, up from €60.55.

Vehicles for professional or public services, such as driving school cars, taxis, rentals, ambulances, and medical assistance units, have first and second on-time inspections at €49.10, rising from €47.80. Late versions are now €99.80, from €97.20, and third or later reach €111.40, previously €108.45.

Higher-category vehicles, typically for collective transport or heavy goods, see first and second on-time inspections at €62.20, up from €60.55; late at €111.40 from €108.45; and third or subsequent at €122.80 from €119.55.

On-time inspections cover the due month, the previous month, or the first 15 natural days of the following month, ending on the last business day of the due month. From day 16, late fees apply. All rates include the 4.5% general indirect tax (IGI) on professional and business services, paid at the end. Increases range from €0.70 to €3.25, with larger amounts for late or repeated professional vehicle checks.
