Key Points

  • Inspections found deformed cobblestones creating uneven surfaces and water pooling.
  • Works will replace damaged cobbles and pave a dirt path in the children’s play area to match surrounding paving.
  • Project aims to improve safety, optimise drainage and unify access point appearance.
  • Four-week contract awarded to Occitalia Construccions i Serveis SLU for €54,923.40.

The Comú d’Andorra la Vella will renew the most deteriorated sections of the pavement in Parc Central to improve safety and correct areas where wear has caused irregularities and drainage problems.

Inspections identified several degraded zones, notably at the lower end of the playground and at points not renewed during the 2023 intervention. Over time the cobblestones have deformed, creating uneven surfaces and spots where water accumulates during heavy rain. The works include replacing damaged cobbles and paving a dirt path in the children’s play area with cobbles matching the surrounding paving to improve continuity and facilitate movement within the park.

The intervention is designed to renew the most affected areas, optimise drainage and unify the appearance of access points as set out in the project documentation. The work will last four weeks and has been awarded to Occitalia Construccions i Serveis, SLU for €54,923.40.
