Andorra's vehicle fleet reached 104,700 by the end of 2025, marking a 3.6% increase from 101,024 the year before, the Department of Statistics reports. Passenger cars led the expansion at 3.7%, totaling 70,657 after adding 2,497 units. Motorcycles and mopeds also rose 3.7% to 19,767, gaining 707 vehicles, while trucks and vans increased 5.7% to 7,613, up by 408. Other vehicles grew 1% to 6,663.
Fuel breakdowns showed gasoline vehicles at 50% of the total and diesel at 39.7%. Electric vehicles advanced sharply, with fully electric models climbing 23.2% to 1,331—or 1.3% of the fleet—after a gain of 251. Hybrids, including plug-ins, expanded 34.6% to 5,118, incorporating 1,315 more units. The electric vehicle rate hit 27.5 per 1,000 vehicles, reflecting roughly 23% growth from 2024.
Average vehicle age edged up 1.3% to 16.2 years, as older models spread: passenger cars over 20 years old stood at 22,050. Vehicles per 1,000 residents climbed to 1,175.6 overall—793.4 cars and 222 motorcycles or mopeds.
This growth aligned with surging visitor numbers, amplifying infrastructure pressures. Seasonal population totaled 17,262,728, up 6.8% and equivalent to 47,295 non-residents daily on average. Floating population, capturing all on-site individuals, reached a record 14,452,341—a 10.3% jump—with monthly averages of 1,288,178, up 9.8% from 1,172,989 in 2024. Effective daily population averaged 136,000, 53% above the 89,058 official residents. Equivalent population, gauging full-time service demand, hit 130,379—the highest in five years and 4.8% above 2024's 124,459.
Visitor influx followed familiar patterns, peaking in August for summer tourism and from December to March for skiing, while dipping in April and May. Monthly floating population built steadily from June, eased in September and October, then rebounded for winter. These dynamics, recovering strongly post-pandemic, underscore rising strains on roads and services amid the expanding vehicle count.
