Andorra's vehicle fleet totaled 104,700 at the end of 2025, marking a 3.6% increase from 101,024 the prior year and adding 3,676 units overall, based on statistics department figures published Thursday.

Passenger cars drove the growth, reaching 70,657—a rise of 3.7% or 2,497 vehicles. Motorcycles and mopeds also climbed 3.7% to 19,767, up 707 units. Trucks and vans expanded 5.7% to 7,613, gaining 408, while other vehicles increased 1% to 6,663.

Gasoline-powered vehicles dominated at 50% of the fleet, up 3.8% with 1,915 more units. Diesel accounted for 39.7%, edging higher by 0.3%. Electric and hybrid adoption accelerated: fully electric vehicles surged 23.2% by 251 to 1,331, or 1.3% of the total. Hybrids, including plug-in and conventional types, grew 34.6% by 1,315 to 5,118. Non-fuel vehicles rose 1.6% with 70 additions.

The average vehicle age reached 16.2 years, up 1.3% and continuing an upward trend. Passenger cars over 20 years old numbered 22,050. Vehicles aged 10-20 years declined across all categories, while those over 20 increased in every group. Newer models under 10 years generally rose, except among other vehicles.

Per capita, the ratio stood at 1,175.6 vehicles per 1,000 inhabitants—793.4 passenger cars and 222 motorcycles or mopeds—all up from 2024. The electric mobility rate hit 27.5 vehicles per 1,000, a roughly 23% jump year-over-year.

The fleet has grown steadily over the past decade after stabilizing below 80,000 units from 2006 to 2015, fueled mainly by cars and two-wheelers. Diesel cars remain more common than gasoline or electric ones, though the gap with gasoline is narrowing.
