**Andorran government adds 4pm shuttle frequency to Pas de la Casa-L'Hospitalet service amid ongoing RN20 closure**
The Andorran government has expanded its free shuttle bus service between Pas de la Casa and L'Hospitalet-près-l'Andorre to 14 daily trips—seven in each direction—effective from Tuesday 24 February, with a new 4pm departure from Pas de la Casa arriving at the station by 4.45pm.
State Secretary for Energy Transition, Transport and Mobility David Forné announced the update during a Tuesday press conference on national bus service performance. He noted the change addresses user demand amid the continued closure of France's RN20 road, Andorra's primary overland access to the area. The service timings are provisional and may adjust based on train schedules, with authorities urging travellers to check updates beforehand. Departures from Pas de la Casa are now set for 7am, 9.15am, 11.15am, 1pm, 4pm, 6pm and 8.15pm, while returns from L'Hospitalet start at 7.55am, 10.10am, 12.15pm, 2pm, 5pm, 7pm and 9.15pm. Weekend train changes mean no services at 12.07pm or 9.09pm from L'Hospitalet, replaced by alternatives at 1.07pm and 8.12pm.
Vehicle entries at the Pas de la Casa border reached 6,544 over the 20-22 February weekend, up from 2,721 the prior weekend but still 47% below last year's levels. Forné described this as a notable recovery from earlier 70% drops seen around 13-15 February. Complementary measures include €30 weekly fuel vouchers for Occitanie-registered vehicles—677 already distributed by the Pas Tourist Office—and a new decree effective Wednesday offering €200 vouchers for hauliers and tour operators.
