Escaldes-Engordany authorities have closed a section of Avinguda Fiter i Rossell to traffic since 9:30am today, Monday, January 12, for the installation of a crane. The restriction, initially set to last until 9pm, currently extends at least until 6pm, affecting private vehicles and buses between the La Massana exit roundabout and the junction with Avinguda del Pessebre.

Only residents in the affected stretch—specifically between numbers 109 and 87—can access their homes directly when coming from La Massana. All other drivers heading to or from La Massana must detour via the Pont Pla tunnel. Local access to urbanisations and properties along the avenue between the Avinguda del Pessebre junction and the crossroads with Carrer dels Vilars remains open via the same route.

Public transport has also been disrupted. EE Bus lines face changes until 6pm: the Els Vilars line cancels the Els Baus stop, replacing it with one at Cruïlla Els Vilars; the Sant Jaume line suspends stops at Cruïlla Els Vilars and Els Baus. Separately, line 5 now diverts through Carrer de l'Obac in Escaldes, with temporary stops there.

Mobility services announced the works on social media and have apologised to residents for the disruption.
