A head-on collision on the N-145 access road from Spain blocked entry into Andorra on Friday, generating queues of over seven kilometres amid heavy Labour Day traffic. The crash at kilometre 6.2 near Valls de Valira involved two Spanish-registered cars around 1pm, with both vehicles blocking the road and sustaining major damage. Four people suffered light injuries and received treatment from Catalan emergency medical services. Responders included two Generalitat fire crews, Guardia Civil, Mossos d'Esquadra, and traffic units. The road remained closed in both directions until about 2pm, with vehicle removal causing further delays; traffic normalised around 4pm. Congestion had built earlier near Anserall and La Seu d'Urgell due to the influx of visitors.

Separate incidents on Thursday compounded traffic issues across the Principat. Just before 10:30am, an Andorran-plated car suffered a brake failure while descending from the hospital area via Carrer Sant Andreu toward Carrer de la Creu Grossa in Andorra la Vella. The steep slope caused it to accelerate, lose control completely at the Doctor Molines and Bisbe Iglesias intersection, and strike a stone planter. Leaking fluids produced smoke from the impact—likely coolant or oil—but no fire occurred, as confirmed by firefighters. Responders included two fire trucks, an ambulance with eight personnel for extrication, police from public safety, traffic, and municipal units. The 31-year-old female driver sustained light contusions to her tibia, fibula, ankle, jaw, and right leg, and was taken to Nostra Senyora de Meritxell hospital in non-serious condition. Her male passenger emerged unharmed. Diversions lasted about 90 minutes while the vehicle was cleared.

That afternoon at 3:08pm, a 30-year-old local motorcyclist crashed alone on his Andorran-plated bike at the Comella roundabout on Avinguda de Salou in Andorra la Vella. Police confirmed injuries consistent with a single-vehicle incident, with no further details released.

Around 7pm near the Enclar bridge on the CG-1 in Santa Coloma, an Andorran-plated car and taxi collided head-on, causing severe front-end damage. The car, travelling uphill, reportedly lost control and crossed into the opposite lane. Firefighters sent an ambulance and extrication vehicle, supported by two police patrols for security and investigation. The car's 38-year-old driver and 36-year-old passenger suffered light injuries and were transferred to Nostra Senyora de Meritxell. Delays continued during clearance. Authorities have not disclosed causes for any of the crashes.
