The Pau d'Enclar fibreglass mannequin, designed to alert drivers to children at pedestrian crossings, has been reinstalled on Avinguda d'Enclar in Andorra la Vella, near the Escola Andorrana de Santa Coloma. Named Pau, it pairs with another figure called Laia at similar locations across the capital.

Local authorities replaced the mannequin after mid-December, when adolescents damaged it during a scuffle. The incident has sparked a dispute over responsibility and repair costs, which exceed €1,200.

Traffic agents from the comú asked the family of one boy—who had fallen onto the figure—to cover the expense via school insurance or equivalent coverage. The family refused, arguing the boy was pushed by another minor, making the pusher liable.

Faced with the disagreement, comú officials filed a police report for damage to public property. Police or judicial authorities will now determine fault and who must pay for the replacement.

In the meantime, Andorra la Vella's social media celebrated the reinstallation, thanking residents—especially children—for their affection toward the initiative. "We continue with the same goals: safety and education," the comú stated.
