Encamp council began preliminary works on Tuesday for the remodelling of Avinguda Joan Martí, targeting the stretch between the Prat de Genil roundabout and Prada de Moles. The project, structured in four phases, aims to enhance mobility, road safety, and commercial activity along the parish's central axis.

From Tuesday until 12 March, Carrer de la Molina will be closed to vehicles between the avenue and the entrance to the Parc de l’Ossa car park. Pedestrian access will remain open, along with entry to shops and loading/unloading areas. Vehicles using the car park must enter and exit solely via the Poble d’Encamp roundabout.

Phase 1 of the main works starts on 19 January and is expected to last about 12 months. From that date, the section from Prat de Genil to Carrer de la Molina will operate in one direction uphill only, while the stretch from Prada de Moles to Carrer de la Molina retains two-way traffic.

The project will involve temporary changes to public transport, including some route cancellations and relocated bus stops in the initial months, as well as adjustments to overall traffic flow. Council officials have committed to maintaining access to homes and businesses at all times, alongside essential services such as cleaning, waste collection, and temporary signage.
