Government awards €19,993.81 contract for two pedestrian traffic lights

The Government has awarded a contract to AERCO, SA for €19,993.81 to supply and install two pedestrian traffic‑light systems on the national road network. The project is managed by the Mobility Area of the State Secretariat for Energy Transition, Transport and Mobility and forms part of the PR0036 Mobility programme, aimed at improving traffic regulation and pedestrian safety.

One signal will be installed on the CG‑2 in Encamp at the pedestrian crossing just before the Mirador roundabout; the other will be placed at the crossing in front of the Comú de la Massana. Mobility had identified both sites as conflict points where traffic lights were needed to guarantee pedestrian safety, a need validated by the Taula Nacional de Mobilitat.

Works are expected to last seven weeks. The contract was awarded following an open national tender published in the BOPA in September after an earlier public tender was declared void and the procedure re‑launched.

Under administrative rules, an appeal against the award may be filed with the Government within one month; such an appeal does not suspend execution of the contract.
