The rear-end crash happened shortly after 2:30pm near the traffic light at the entrance to Parc Central, beside the pedestrian crossing by Edifici de les Columnes. One car braked suddenly, and the second struck it from behind. No injuries occurred, with damage confined to the vehicles involved.
The incident initially blocked all but one downhill lane, producing tailbacks extending south from nearly the kilometre-zero roundabout. Vehicles were later moved to the street accessing Parc Central, allowing traffic to return to normal.
Motorists are no longer facing disruptions in the area.
