Pedestrian Crash Triggers Four More Incidents in Andorra Amid Heavy Rain

A pedestrian collision on the CG-3 at Ordino's entrance from La Massana triggered four more road incidents across Andorra within 24 hours, injuring five people amid heavy rain and slippery conditions.

The initial crash happened at 4:59 p.m. on the CG-3, known as Avinguda del Casamanya, in front of the sports centre car park near a pedestrian crossing. A 31-year-old local woman was hit by an Andorran-registered saloon car travelling toward La Massana, which failed to stop in time due to poor visibility from rain and a wet road. Police stated her injuries resulted from the impact, with arm pain reported—though it remains unclear if from the collision or a fall. SUM emergency services arrived roughly 10 minutes later, immobilised her and took her to hospital for checks. Traffic officers and investigators managed the scene, using alternating single-lane traffic for about 30 minutes as snow flurries started soon after. Earlier reports had placed her in her forties, but police confirmed her age as 31.

That evening brought three further crashes. At 5:55 p.m., a Spanish-registered car struck a concrete block in the Envalira tunnel on Encamp's Grau Roig side, injuring a 26-year-old female passenger. At 6:12 p.m. on the CG-3 at kilometre 3.3 in La Massana, two vehicles—one Spanish-registered, one Andorran—collided, hurting an 82-year-old woman in the Andorran car.

The following morning at 4:40 a.m., a 37-year-old man driving an Italian-registered car left the CG-2 at kilometre 16.5 in Incles and sustained injuries.

Around 10 a.m., a minor collision at number 97 on Avinguda Santa Coloma in Andorra la Vella involved two Andorran-registered cars, injuring a 34-year-old female front-seat passenger. She received on-site care before hospital transfer. Two police patrols and two fire service ambulances attended, causing brief traffic delays.

Police have reported no updates on the injured parties' conditions and have not connected the crashes beyond adverse weather. One source mentioned a separate material-damage rollover in Erts at 3:30 p.m. the previous day involving a 27-year-old driver, but it falls outside the 24-hour span and resulted in no injuries.
