Andorra la Vella council has approved €91,250 in subsidies for tourism promotion and commercial revitalisation projects planned for 2026.

The funding aims to bolster economic activity throughout the year and enhance the parish's appeal to visitors. Applications opened on Wednesday with the official publication in the BOPA gazette and will close on 24 April.

Cònsol Major Sergi González described the subsidies as an essential tool to support projects that add value to the parish and strengthen its position as an attractive destination. He emphasised the importance of partnering with business actors and associations to develop a diverse, high-quality offer.

Eligible applicants include entities, associations and other groups organising activities with tourism or commercial impacts in Andorra la Vella. Supported initiatives cover events, promotional campaigns and innovative projects to animate streets and commercial spaces.

Projects will be assessed based on quality, feasibility, economic and social benefits, and potential to draw visitors. The budget splits into two lines: one for tourism promotion and another for commercial dynamism.

This programme reflects the council's commitment to sustaining year-round business vitality in a tourism- and commerce-dependent economy.
