Clara Arpa of UN Global Compact Spain delivers keynote on sustainability's role in corporate

MoraBanc organised the “Competing in the ESG Era” sustainability event at the Auditori, gathering professionals from business, finance, and institutional fields.

The gathering featured an opening keynote by Clara Arpa, president of UN Global Compact Spain. She outlined how sustainability serves as a key factor in enhancing corporate competitiveness and generating long-term value.

The programme continued with a roundtable that included Sandra Estebe, MoraBanc’s director of discretionary portfolio management and independent advisory; Álvaro García, legal advisor on banking reform and EU relations at the Ministry of Finance; and Mireia Maestre, MoraBanc’s ESG director.

Panel members explored sustainability challenges through various lenses, such as regulatory demands, investment approaches, and their influence on business operations. They also addressed the increasing relevance of ESG considerations in risk assessment and overall economic resilience.
