Key Points

  • Andorra Business launches 2026 grants with €180,000 budget, up 30% from last year.
  • Subsidies cover up to 80% of eligible costs, capped at €6,000 per SME.
  • Funds target sustainability, innovation, international growth, and optimisation.
  • Applications open until May 29, possible second round in September-October.

Andorra Business launched its 2026 grants programme on Wednesday with a €180,000 budget, a near 30% rise from last year aimed at strengthening SME competitiveness.

The call for applications, published that day in the BOPA, provides subsidies for up to 80% of eligible project costs, with a €6,000 cap per company. Funds support access to specialised services promoting higher-value models in areas such as sustainability, international growth, business optimisation, and innovation. Andorra Business director Judit Hidalgo emphasised that the scheme lowers entry barriers for SMEs—the programme's core beneficiaries—and accelerates key initiatives in these domains.

This expansion builds on high demand since the programme's 2018 start, when it was created to aid firms adapting to shifting economic conditions. It has assisted over 300 businesses with more than €1.3 million overall. Last year's round reached over 30 companies, mainly SMEs, across technology, services, retail, and health sectors, aiding economic diversification.

Hidalgo described the grants as a vital tool alongside advisory services to foster innovation and global outreach. The organisation views the budget increase as confirmation of its ongoing push to widen the programme's reach.

Applications run until May 29, with a potential second round from September 23 to October 30 if funds remain. Andorra Business offers ongoing support to enhance the local business landscape.
