  • USdA creates new branch to protect CASS employees' labour, professional and social rights.
  • Addresses needs amid structural changes, system pressures and rising public service demands.
  • Priorities: wages, job stability, career progression, workload management and reforms.
  • Several CASS workers have joined to support the initiative.

The Unió Sindical d’Andorra (USdA) has launched a dedicated union branch to represent workers at the Caixa Andorrana de Seguretat Social (CASS), aiming to strengthen protections for their labour, professional and social rights.

The union announced the new structure in a statement, citing the specific needs of CASS staff amid structural changes, system pressures and rising demands on essential public services. CASS, a parastatal entity, provides key social security services, and the branch will focus on safeguarding wages, job stability and career progression for its employees.

Key priorities include improving organisational conditions and workload management to ensure high-quality public service delivery. The branch will also engage actively in any reforms affecting the institution and serve as a direct channel to gather and advocate for staff concerns.

USdA emphasised that service quality at CASS depends directly on employees’ working conditions, making a robust, dedicated union presence essential. The initiative aligns with the union’s push for workplace-focused, specialised representation with real influence.

Several CASS workers have already joined, providing direct support and driving the project forward.
