La Massana's Vide Dressing second-hand market wrapped up its latest edition with close to 5,000 items sold over the weekend, matching previous years' strong performance and solidifying its contribution to the circular economy and parish commerce.

Held from Friday afternoon to Sunday between the Fontetes buildings and La Closeta, the event grew to 82 stands by utilising a new room at La Closeta, which added space for around a dozen extra stalls. Organisers noted steady crowds from the Friday opening, with particular demand for children's clothing, handbags and summer items. Stallholders reported high satisfaction with the welcoming atmosphere, regardless of individual sales, while local restaurants saw a clear uptick in business from the influx of visitors.

Councillor for Dynamisation Bet Rossell said the market exceeded its aims of promoting reuse, responsible consumption and parish activity. She pointed to layout upgrades, with greater spacing between stands to improve visitor flow, and observed that second-hand purchases are increasingly part of everyday habits. Rossell added that the event drew substantial numbers to the parish centre across three days.

The market featured a broad selection of well-maintained clothing and accessories for women, men and children. Charity elements stood out, with several stalls channeling proceeds to good causes, including support for a child with a rare disease, and donations to Carisma, the parish's second-hand charity shop. Attendees voted for the best-decorated stand via the La Massana+ app.

Emma Jiménez, head of Tourism, called the market more than a sales event—a space for community interaction and shared enjoyment among participants. The parish council expressed gratitude to stallholders and visitors for cementing Vide Dressing as a key biannual fixture, with the next edition set for autumn.

A linked charity gala, "Ballem pel Guillem," occurred on 13 May at the Toni Martí pavilion. Hours were Saturday 10am-8pm and Sunday 10am-2pm.
