Andorra Hosts First Professional Workshop for Hotel Housekeepers on June 17

The Andorran Hotel Association (UHA) will host Andorra's first professional workshop dedicated to hotel housekeepers on 17 June, under the theme 'Liderar per Transformar' or 'Lead to Transform'.

Taking place from 4pm to 8pm at the Hotel Comtes d'Urgell in Escaldes-Engordany, the event targets housekeepers, floor managers and hotel management professionals. It combines training sessions, experience sharing and networking opportunities to recognise the strategic role these workers play in delivering service quality, guest satisfaction and hotel reputation.

Often operating behind the scenes, housekeepers face evolving challenges including team leadership, process digitalisation, sustainability, ergonomics and employee wellbeing. The UHA seeks to professionalise the role through this initiative, fostering a community for exchanging knowledge and best practices among its member hotels.

The programme features recognised national and international experts from ICTET Institute, ASEGO (Spanish Hotel Housekeepers Association), Grupo DINO, TTS and Lleixiu l'Andorrana. Sessions will cover conscious leadership, the housekeeper's impact on guest experiences, technology tools for housekeeping, sustainable hotel operations and injury prevention via better workplace ergonomics.

Entry is free, but places are limited. The UHA describes the workshop as a key step in elevating an essential function within the sector.
