Andorra's head of government, Xavier Espot, will host Kristalina Georgieva, managing director of the International Monetary Fund, on Saturday, June 13. The trip represents her first institutional visit to the Principality since Andorra's accession to the IMF in October 2020, a step that has bolstered the country's economic and financial credibility and transparency.
Government spokesperson Guillem Casal outlined the schedule at a press conference after the Council of Ministers meeting. Georgieva will hold a formal meeting with Espot, followed by a working session with Economy Minister Conxita Marsol and Finance Minister Ramon Lladós. She will also engage with Andorra's main economic stakeholders.
