Cyprus Foreign Minister Constantinos Kombos started an official visit to Andorra on Thursday afternoon to bolster bilateral cooperation between the two countries, which have held diplomatic relations for 31 years.
The trip coincides with the end of Cyprus's rotating presidency of the Council of the EU, during which it prioritised Andorra's association agreement with the bloc. Kombos was received by Andorra's Foreign Minister Imma Tor at the government's administrative building for a working meeting. The discussions centred on broadening collaboration into shared sectoral areas of mutual interest. Andorra's Secretary of State for EU Relations, Landry Ribá, also attended the session.
Kombos is due to meet Head of Government Xavier Espot on Friday morning. The visit will feature the signing of a protocol of understanding between the nations, with further details to follow at a press conference.
