Andorra Cybersecurity Agency Urges VMware Vulnerability Checks for 70% of Firms

Andorra's National Cybersecurity Agency (ANC-AD) has issued a critical security alert, warning that seven out of every 10 Andorran companies using VMware virtualization technology could be exposed to vulnerabilities.

The agency called on affected organizations to check their digital services and ensure recommended protection measures are in place. This applies to firms managing VMware systems directly as well as those relying on external providers for hosting websites, e-commerce platforms, apps, and other digital tools.

Small businesses, in particular, should contact their tech suppliers to confirm that security updates have been applied correctly and systems remain operational, the ANC-AD stated in a press release. Larger organizations typically have in-house specialists for such tasks, while many small and medium-sized enterprises outsource infrastructure management and may lack full visibility into its status.

The message emphasizes reassurance and prevention, noting that most providers have already started safeguarding client services. Companies are encouraged to verify these actions promptly, given VMware's widespread use in Andorran business operations.
