  • Eight positions focus on technology like AI, IT, and digital solutions; two on business.
  • Andbank's 12th Trainee Program adds 33 youths: 17 in offices, 16 in central services.
  • Program has trained over 230 students previously, emphasizing practical banking experience.

Andorra Telecom has hired 10 young students as temporary summer workers, with six men and four women assisting technology and business teams until 31 August.

The established initiative aims to support young talent's workforce integration and provide initial professional exposure in an innovative setting. This year, eight positions target technology profiles and two focus on business, underscoring the rising importance of digital skills within the company's operations. The students will assist teams handling television, mobile and telephony services, digital solutions, IT infrastructure, security, data and artificial intelligence, the projects office, international relations, marketing, network deployment and energy, as well as the retail shop. Company representatives emphasise that participants learn about technology firm operations, apply academic knowledge and build new professional skills.

In a parallel effort, Andbank Andorra has onboarded 33 young people for its summer internship scheme, part of the 12th edition of the Andbank Trainee Program. Seventeen will work in offices across the country, while the other 16 support central services in operational and support roles.

Over the coming weeks, the interns will join daily departmental activities alongside bank professionals, gaining direct insight into banking operations while contributing during the summer. The program includes initial training sessions covering the bank's structure, practice departments and key financial concepts to aid integration, offer an institutional overview and enhance financial expertise.

Flora Tomé, Andbank's global human resources director, called the Trainee Program "a unique opportunity for young people to begin their first contact with the professional world in a demanding and enriching environment." She noted the bank's commitment to youth talent through "practical experience, training and support" to drive professional and personal development. Originally designed to promote young talent and improve employability, the program has engaged more than 230 students in previous years. Bank officials reaffirmed their dedication to nurturing future finance professionals.
