Provisional data show Andorra's year-on-year inflation climbed to 4.3% in July, up 0.1 points from June's 4.2%.
The advanced consumer price index, covering nearly all July prices, points to housing, water, gas, electricity and other fuels as the main driver of the increase. This offset steep monthly drops in clothing and footwear, down 8.8%, and a 1.8% decline in transport. Monthly, overall prices fell 0.4%, a smaller decrease than the 0.7-point drop in June.
The July 2025 rate stood much lower at 2.2%, highlighting a sharper annual rise this year.
Andorra's 4.3% exceeds preliminary figures from neighbours: Spain at 3.5% and France at 2.1%. Both countries saw potential 0.3-point monthly gains if confirmed, though still well below Andorra's level.
The index uses about 99% of collected prices, carrying over prior-month data where needed. Final numbers are due on 17 August and could differ.
