Canillo Revives Valls de Canillo Brand to Unite Parish Tourism Offerings
Parish leaders aim to extend visitor stays and promote year-round activities through a unified identity
Canillo has brought back the Valls de Canillo brand to consolidate the parish's key tourist, natural, cultural, sports and commercial assets under one identity. The move forms part of the Pla Estratègic Turístic Canillo 2035 and seeks to present a fuller picture of the area, encourage longer stays and ease seasonal fluctuations.
Sira Puig, director of the Palau de Gel and Canillo's tourist services, said the brand positions the entire parish as a single tourist destination while highlighting its range of experiences. She stressed the goal of ensuring visitors explore beyond standout sites like the Pont Tibetà or Mirador del Roc del Quer, taking in villages, trails, Romanesque heritage and mountain activities available summer and winter.
The refreshed visual identity, now appearing on social media and summer promotions, features green and white colours linked to the seasons. Its design draws from the Vall d'Incles landscape, paired with the slogan "Obrim horitzons a Andorra". Development was led by the Palau de Gel team, with input from Andorran branding firm Wow, agency Comuniza and private sector representatives.
Plans for 2027 include structuring summer and winter offerings, rallying local businesses and boosting natural and heritage sites. The initiative supports the strategic plan's focus on cutting reliance on snow seasons, diversifying activities, strengthening parish hubs and pursuing sustainable tourism. By linking nature, culture, sports, leisure, gastronomy and family options, officials hope to make Canillo a top Pyrenean mountain destination all year.
