Andorra Telecom Donates 13 Robotics Boards to Schools After WRO Final

Andorra Telecom has donated 13 official educational robotics boards to schools across the country, following the National Final of the World Robot Olympiad (WRO) 2026 Andorra.

The handover took place on Wednesday and involved 13 educational centres. The boards, standard equipment in robotics competitions, will serve as learning resources to promote hands-on engagement.

The initiative aligns with the Ministry of Institutional Relations, Education and Universities' strategy to encourage responsible technology use among students, framing it within broader pedagogical goals. Schools intend to incorporate the materials into dynamic robotics sessions that emphasise practical skills.

These tools will allow pupils to explore computational thinking, coding, robot construction and assembly, while supporting multidisciplinary, skills-focused teaching in schools and clubs. The donation aims to nurture STEAM interests—science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics—among young people.

Andorra Telecom has backed educational robotics for over ten years, funding events including the World Robot Olympiad, FIRST LEGO League and VEX to inspire tech-savvy talent.

The recipients include primary schools in Canillo, Encamp, La Massana, Andorra la Vella, Sant Julià de Lòria, Escaldes-Engordany and Pas de la Casa, as well as Col·legi Janer, the Spanish Col·legi María Moliner in Escaldes-Engordany, and French schools in Andorra la Vella, Escaldes-Engordany, Sant Julià de Lòria and Canillo.
