- Company seeks consensus with workers on future schedules to ensure financial viability and service efficiency.
- Coopalsa launched annual user satisfaction survey amid ongoing labor discussions.
Coopalsa has informed its works committee that it will retain current staff schedules, established under a now-invalidated arbitral award, at least until after the upcoming winter season.
The company made this announcement during a Thursday afternoon meeting. It follows a recent court ruling that annulled the January 2025 arbitral decision, which had backed workers' claims on schedules. The Superior Court of Justice found the award lacked legal foundation, as it drew on provisions of Law 33/2018 later ruled unconstitutional by the Constitutional Court.
Initially, after the judicial resolution, Coopalsa indicated it would review a new schedule arrangement before the end of August. Instead, it has decided to keep the existing model in place provisionally. During discussions, representatives stressed the need to examine options for maintaining a positive work environment and appropriate employee conditions. They aim to reach consensus with staff on future arrangements that safeguard the company's financial viability, long-term sustainability, and service efficiency.
Coopalsa reiterated its dedication to aligning interests and developing stable labour relations through dialogue in light of the changed legal landscape.
Separately, the firm has launched its annual user satisfaction survey, in line with usual seasonal procedures.
