Andorra Fuel Imports Hit 12.78M Litres in August, Up Monthly but Down Yearly

Fuel imports into Andorra totalled 12.78 million litres in August, up 8.4% from July but down 0.2% from the same month last year, according to Department of Statistics data.
Unleaded petrol imports climbed 4.4% year-on-year to 4.1 million litres, automotive diesel edged up 0.6% to 7.79 million litres, and domestic fuel dropped 22.2% to 851,969 litres. Compared with July, unleaded petrol rose 12.1% and diesel increased 7.5%, while domestic fuel dipped 0.1%.
From January to August, imports reached 101.83 million litres, a 5.9% decline from the prior year. Automotive diesel fell 7.6%, domestic fuel 4.7%, and unleaded petrol 3.9%.
Over the past 12 months, the total stood at 157.56 million litres, down 3.6% from 163.45 million litres the previous period. Diesel led the decrease at 5.7%, followed by domestic fuel at 2.5% and unleaded petrol at 0.5%.
The figures come alongside broader August import values of €143.05 million, an 8.9% rise from last year—driven by transport (up 26.1%), energy (28.6%), and industrial goods (11.1%)—though electronics fell 9.5%. Excluding energy, growth was 7.4%. Year-to-date imports hit €1,323.17 million, up 4.7%, with the past 12 months at €2,056.87 million, a 7.6% increase.
Exports in August totalled €12.09 million, up 5.4%, led by jewellery (195.3%) and industrial products (106.5%), offset by declines in transport (31.4%) and electronics (18.8%). Year-to-date exports were €128.62 million, up 3%, and the trailing 12 months €200.96 million, up 6.3%.
