Andorra la Vella has added six common municipal certificates to its online procedures catalogue, allowing residents and businesses to request them digitally through the commune's electronic portal.
The new service on www.seu.andorralavella.ad covers high-demand documents including residency certification and proof of no outstanding debts. These represent one of the busiest areas of municipal administration, with around 11,000 such certificates processed annually.
Councillor for Procedures, Taxes and Debtors, Susagna Mosquera, described the move as enabling people to handle these needs more quickly, at any time and from anywhere, without trips to the town hall or Santa Coloma offices. She framed it within the commune's ongoing push to expand digital services.
This brings the share of municipal procedures available online to 73.89%. Recent additions also include population census updates, terrace permits, bank domiciliation, Vall Market registrations, nursery school pre-enrolments and administrative appeals.
The goal is to cut waiting times, reduce physical visits and ease operations, while keeping in-person options at council offices for those who need them. Mosquera said the commune plans to keep broadening online access progressively.
