MoraBanc is organising Andorra's first AI and Finance Hackathon on 7 and 8 November at Hive Five Coworking in Andorra la Vella, offering 7,000 euros in total prizes for AI-based financial prototypes.

The event, run with partners Amazon Web Services and Hive Five, welcomes participants of all backgrounds, including non-technical profiles with ideas to develop into minimum viable products. Organisers aim to harness AI tools to enable diverse teams to address client-focused challenges such as financial education, planning, business and freelancer support, or fraud protection. Entrants may also propose original concepts tied to finance and user benefits.

A jury will assess submissions for viability among other criteria, awarding 4,000 euros for first place, 2,000 euros for second, and 1,000 euros for third. AWS will supply cloud infrastructure, generative AI resources, four pre-event training sessions—three on generative AI and one on its platform—and on-site engineers for hands-on assistance.

Hive Five will host the hackathon at its Techlab space, providing logistical support. The initiative seeks to boost Andorra's technology and entrepreneurial ecosystem by integrating AI into everyday financial products.

MoraBanc's head of AI, Eric Garcia, has described the format as an opportunity to pilot concepts, secure expert feedback, and compete for prizes. Registration details are not yet available.
