Canillo Tourist Sites See 5% Visitor Surge and 6.9% Revenue Boost in 2026

Visitor numbers at Pont Tibetà and the Roc del Quer viewpoint in Canillo increased by nearly 5% from January to August, reaching 119,743 compared to 114,433 in the same period of 2025, local officials reported.

Revenues at the two sites rose by 6.9% to €1.46 million from €1.336 million a year earlier, driven by higher ticket sales and price increases. Jordi Alcobé, Canillo's consell major, presented the data after the traditional Consell del Sabut meeting and praised the summer as "very acceptable," noting a recovery in August despite challenges in July.

Alcobé highlighted stronger growth at Roc del Quer than at Pont Tibetà, though the combined package—allowing access to both—saw a 4.6% sales rise and remained the most popular option. He expressed satisfaction with the progress, stating the attractions "still have potential and are very well received" despite not being new.

Looking ahead, officials expect revenues to surpass €2 million by the end of 2026, supported by a promising autumn, including high turnout during the Diada de Catalunya weekend. Alcobé also pointed to summer tests of the Soldeu inflatable park and maze, new commercial packages, and the tourist bus as signs of Canillo's active efforts to strengthen its summer offerings.
