Andorran CASS to Deploy Self-Service Kiosks for Document Printing Nationwide

Andorra's Social Security Fund will install kiosks across communes and immigration sites to let users print documents independently. This aims to slash unnecessary visits, accelerate services, and support digital inclusion as part of its strategic digital overhaul.

Key Points

  • Kiosks at public sites like parishes and Pas de la Casa allow printing certificates without office visits.
  • Targets 40% of 500 daily in-person visits for routine documents.
  • Part of 2026-2028 digitalisation plan integrating with government systems.
  • Rollout starts January, reducing travel and freeing staff for complex needs.

The Andorran Social Security Fund (CASS) plans to install self-service kiosks at various public administration sites nationwide, allowing affiliates to print common documents without visiting its offices. The devices will enable users to identify themselves, select needed paperwork, and print it on site, targeting routine requests such as CASS points certificates.

CASS is collaborating with communes to place the kiosks in parishes and locations like Pas de la Casa, with Immigration services among the proposed sites due to frequent demand there. The organisation already operates similar machines at its own facilities but aims to expand and independentise the system. Currently handling around 500 in-person visits daily—of which 40% involve document retrieval—these kiosks seek to cut unnecessary travel, speed up procedures, and free staff for personalised support, particularly for those facing digital divides.

The rollout forms part of CASS's 2026-2028 strategic plan to enhance user services through digitalisation. It will integrate with the government's certificate system, phasing out CASS's own digital certificate, while business notifications move to the e-notification platform. Paper yellow forms will also shift to electronic versions.

Exact kiosk locations are still being finalised, with implementation set to begin in January. Further updates are anticipated as discussions progress.
