The comú of Escaldes-Engordany has extended until 11 November, at 3 pm, the deadline for submitting bids in the public tender for the administrative concession of two premises intended for restaurant and/or drinks establishments and three terrace spaces on Plaça de l'Església. The decision was taken at the Junta de Govern meeting of 19 October, according to the edict published in the Butlletí Oficial del Principat d'Andorra (BOPA).
The tender was initially launched on 2 September and provides for the award of one or several administrative concessions for the private use of the spaces. The extension gives interested parties more time to prepare their proposals. The original deadline of 30 October was pushed back in a bid to ensure sufficient competition.
According to municipal sources, several visits to the spaces have already been made by parties potentially interested in operating the premises. The extension is intended to secure at least one offer and avoid the tender being declared void.
In a separate matter, the comú has published in the BOPA the direct award of a contract to marketing firm B-Legend to create and manage digital content for the corporation's tourism social media accounts. The contract is worth €28,215 including IGI and runs for one year, with the option to extend for up to a maximum of two.
