Andorra's annual Consumer Price Index rose to 4.1% in March, a full percentage point above February's 3.1%, final figures from Estadística show. The increase was driven mainly by surging fuel and energy costs.

Transport prices jumped 6.6 points to 5.7% year-on-year, led by fuels and lubricants that rose this month after declining in March 2025. Petroleum products marked a stark turnaround, moving from -7.4% to +13% annually. The housing, water, gas, electricity, and other fuels group climbed 0.5 points to 5.1%, due to higher liquid fuel prices that contrasted with last year's drop.

Clothing and footwear prices leapt more than 20% month-on-month, reflecting the end of sales and arrival of new collections. Monthly inflation hit 2.1%, exceeding last year's level, with transport up 6.36% and textiles playing a key role. Year-to-date inflation stands at 2.2%, with gains across all groups except education, which was flat.

Core inflation, stripping out fresh food and energy, dipped slightly to 3.6% from 3.7% in February—0.5 points below the headline rate. One report attributed part of the fuel rise to Middle East conflict.

Andorra's rate exceeds those of neighbours. Spain's advance March figure was 3.3%, up from February, while France's reached 1.7%, a 0.8-point rise from 0.9%. Final data for both remain pending.
